mercure shanghai was even better than my previous stay in shanghai. great location, helpful staff, and clean rooms. loved the extra water bottles left by the cleaners, and the amazing breakfast buffet with open kitchen.

Amazing buffet breakfast, nice reception area, and a great kids playroom for our 2-year-old son. Staff was friendly and helpful, always ready to assist. The concierge remembered my destination and quickly booked a taxi for me. The cleaners were kind and thoughtful, leaving extra water bottles in my room. The breakfast had a wide variety of choices and a fascinating open kitchen with chefs cooking fresh food in front of you. a fantastic experience.

very good location at only 15 minutes from Hongqiao airport and railway station. Quiet rooms.

according to my reservation with Booked.net my room rate included breakfast. When I arrived at the hotel this was denied and I had to argue to have them include breakfast.the breakfast area in the atrium (quite spectacular) is very dark. Some difficulty to get a taxi in the morning.

Hotel is clean

Hotel is clean but the main problem is that few people speak english. I tis the first time I see so few people speaking english in this hotel category. Breakfast choice is poor and staff dont speak english (20 mn to get coffee with milk). Concierge was not able to inform us about the hot spots in Shanghai. Rates for transportation are expensive (800RMB) for domestic airport transportation. If you go downstairs after midnight, you have good chance to see girls proposed in room massages and other sex facilities, which is surprising

We had to carry the luggages and bags on our own on checking in and out while the bell boys looked on, like what the hell you bring luggages here. Being a service apartment with kitchenette we were surprised that no utensils were available, had to get room service for plates and cutleries.

construction was ongoing , it was cold outside so nobody helped me with my luggage

I am smoker, I ask to sutaff posibility smoking room, but the room is bad smell. So I ask to sutaff changeing no somoking room once again, they as soon as changing my room. Thank you.
